Anyone can improvise!
Well, okay almost anyone, for we all know someone that can’t even carry a tune let alone improvise.
With that in mind, I’ve done a research study with instrumentalists and singers that were interested in learning how to improvise or at the very least to acquire jazz styling skills.
The results are very encouraging!
I can now say with certainty that I can take a singer or instrumentalist with little or no skill in what we call Instant Composing to enjoy many “aha” moments of “Wow! I really can improvise!”
And here’s the clincher…with the Internet and just an iPad one can enjoy this process of learning how to be an Instant Composer without traveling to my studio in Naples, Florida and at a very low cost.
Of course, live private sessions are always preferable and they are still very affordable.

Jazz, Blues and Classical Improvisation
I offer a Natural or Ear-Based Approach to acquire the skills to be an Instant Composer!
No musical education is required only a love of music along with a strong desire to learn and the patience to persist.
This break-through method is ideal for all instrumentalists but I prefer to focus on melody instruments such as the trumpet, saxophone, trombone, violin and of course singers.
Beginner, intermediate and advanced level students are welcome to participate in learning how to be an Instant Composer in my studio in North Naples or via the internet on either Skype or FaceTime.
In addition I’ve now recorded seventeen jazz, operatic and classical play or sing-along albums for Music Minus One that I use in conjunction with my method. I also have created unique teaching materials that greatly expand and accelerate the progress of my students.
